Learning  activities in general and science in middle school in particular  directed at the practical activities that encourage students to do  keggiatan productive, such as observing, designing, and conducting  research, measure, classify, and other forms of practical activities. Theoretical  knowledge will be presented more than in search of information  through discussion, questioning, and reading the source (Department of  Education, 1993:3). Examples  and application of concepts that exist in a customized learning with  examples of existing residential area students to be more easily learned  students. In  providing an explanation to the students, teachers should use books  supporting the understanding of concepts and sub concepts as study  materials. 
According to Vaidya (1976:138) method of learning science or science in basic education should be relevant to the conditions of its people through a lecture, demonstrations, lectures combination demonstration, problem solving, project methods, and cooperative methods. Sudrajat Day (2002:36) argues that in learning science / science skills are directed at the process (eg observation, measurement, classification, inference, prediction, communication, making hypotheses, designing research, and interpretation of date) and methods are used such as problem solving, inquiry, discovery, demonstration, etc.
